About the Role We are seeking a motivated Junior Tester-Developer to join our engineering team. This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or developers with up to 1 year of professional experience. You will work alongside senior engineers to build and test features across our web and mobile platforms. Your primary focus will be ensuring software quality while gaining hands-on experience with modern development tools and CI/CD practices. This role offers structured mentorship and a clear path toward full-stack development. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain front-end features using Next.js (web) and React Native (mobile). Design and manage database schemas and queries within Supabase (PostgreSQL). Write and execute automated unit and integration tests to ensure code stability. Perform manual exploratory testing on real devices to identify edge cases and user experience issues. Log, track, and verify bug fixes using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear, or GitHub Issues). Collaborate with developers and product owners during sprint planning and daily stand-ups. Participate in code reviews to learn best practices and improve code quality. Run and monitor test suites within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions). Document testing procedures and maintain clear communication of quality metrics to the team. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent self-taught experience). 0–1 year of professional software development experience (internships, freelance, or academic projects count). Demonstrated completion of at least one personal, academic, or freelance project (e.g., web app, mobile app, or API). Foundational knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript. Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL. Familiarity with Git for version control (branching, committing, pushing). strong verbal and written communication skills. Eagerness to learn new technologies and accept constructive feedback. Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have) Prior exposure to Next.js or React for web development. Prior exposure to React Native or Expo for mobile development. Familiarity with Supabase or Firebase Backend-as-a-Service. Experience writing automated tests using tools like Playwright, Cypress, Jest, or React Native Testing Library. Understanding of RESTful API integration.
