About the Role We are looking for a passionate and experienced Video Editing Instructor to join our team and train aspiring creatives in industry-standard video production and post-production techniques. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, practical industry experience, and the ability to deliver engaging, hands-on training sessions that prepare students for real-world projects and freelance opportunities. Key Responsibilities • Deliver practical and interactive video editing classes to students of varying skill levels. • Teach video editing concepts including storytelling, pacing, transitions, audio synchronization, color correction, and motion graphics. • Train students using industry-standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, • Develop lesson plans, assignments, projects, and assessments aligned with the course curriculum. • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to support student growth and portfolio development. • Monitor student attendance, participation, and performance. • Support students in completing capstone projects and building professional portfolios. • Stay updated with current video editing trends, technologies, and industry best practices. • Submit regular class reports and collaborate with the academic team to improve course delivery. • Participate in workshops, events, and promotional activities when required. Required Qualifications • Proven experience in video editing and post-production. • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. • Experience with color grading, audio editing, and motion graphics is highly desirable. • Previous teaching, training, or mentoring experience is an advantage. • Strong communication and presentation skills. • Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver engaging practical sessions. • Portfolio demonstrating professional or freelance video editing work. • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Multimedia, Media Studies, Digital Arts, or related fields is preferred. Preferred Skills • Knowledge of cinematography and video production workflows. • Experience with YouTube content creation, social media content editing, and short-form video production. • Experience in freelance marketplaces and client project management is an added advantage.
