The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the company's overall operational activities in Dire Dawa , ensuring sustainable growth, strong driver-partner performance, efficient marketplace operations, and achievement of business targets. The position will have full operational responsibility for the Dire Dawa market, including driver acquisition and retention, supply management service quality, fleet operations, local partnerships, compliance, operational performance, and market expansion. Key Responsibilities • Overall Dire Dawa Operations Ø Take full ownership of the company's day-to-day operations in Dire Dawa. Ø Develop and execute the city's operational strategy in line with the company's regional and company objectives. Ø Monitor daily operational performance and ensure uninterrupted service availability. Ø Identify operational gaps and immediately implement corrective actions. Ø Establish clear operational targets and ensure consistent achievement. Ø Develop plans to increase The company's market penetration and operational coverage throughout Dire Dawa. • Driver Acquisition & Management Ø Lead driver-partner acquisition and onboarding activities in Dire Dawa. Ø Develop effective strategies to attract qualified and reliable drivers. Ø Build and maintain strong relationships with driver partners. Ø Monitor driver activation, productivity, retention, and engagement. Ø Identify reasons for driver inactivity and implement targeted retention initiatives. Ø Organize driver meetings, engagement programs, training, and communication activities. Ø Ensure drivers understand and comply with the company policies, service standards, and safety requirements. Ø Monitor driver complaints and operational challenges and coordinate timely solutions. • Local Business & Institutional Partnerships Ø Identify and develop relationships with hotels, restaurants, universities, companies, shopping centers, tourism businesses, and other major organizations in Dire Dawa. Ø Develop opportunities for corporate transportation and business accounts. Ø Establish partnerships that can generate additional demand for the company. Ø Represent the company professionally in meetings with local businesses and institutions. Ø Monitor partnership performance and identify opportunities for expansion. • Local Market Development Ø Conduct regular market analysis to understand transportation trends behavior in Dire Dawa. Ø Identify underserved areas and opportunities for market expansion. Ø Develop plans for increasing The company's presence in strategic locations. Ø Monitor local transportation competitors and their pricing, service, driver incentives, and market activities. Ø Provide management with regular updates on local market conditions and competitive developments. Required Qualifications Ø Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Economics, Engineering, Logistics, or a related field. Ø Experience in operations management, preferably in transportation, ride-hailing, logistics, delivery, mobility, technology, FMCG, or a similar fast-moving business. Ø Experience managing teams and external partners. Ø Experience in sales, business development, or marketplace operations is an advantage. Ø Strong knowledge of the Dire Dawa market and local business environment. Ø Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ø Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Ø Strong knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and operational reporting tools.
