The Scout Leader is responsible for managing and supervising the Scout team engaged in driver recruitment, registration, verification, and activation on the Yango platform. The Scout Leader ensures that Scouts achieve their assigned targets, follow the required registration and verification procedures, provide accurate information, and submit timely reports. Key Responsibilities Team Supervision ❖ Supervise, guide, and support the Scout team in their daily field activities. ❖ Assign daily and weekly targets to individual Scouts. ❖ Monitor Scout attendance, field activities, productivity, and performance. ❖ Ensure Scouts understand and follow the required driver registration and verification procedures. ❖ Provide coaching and support to Scouts to improve their performance. ❖ Identify high-performing Scouts and areas where additional support or training is required. Driver Recruitment & Registration ❖ Monitor the team's efforts to identify and approach potential drivers. ❖ Ensure Scouts properly explain the Yango platform, registration process, requirements, and benefits to drivers. ❖ Monitor the number of drivers contacted, registered, verified, and activated. ❖ Ensure registration information is accurate and complete. ❖ Support Scouts in resolving difficult or pending registration cases. Verification & Quality Control ❖ Monitor the quality and accuracy of driver and vehicle information submitted by Scouts. ❖ Ensure required documents and information are properly checked before submission. ❖ Follow up on pending, rejected, or incomplete driver registrations. ❖ Identify recurring registration or verification problems and communicate them to the appropriate team. ❖ Ensure driver information is handled confidentially and according to company procedures. Performance & Target Management ❖ Set and communicate daily and weekly registration targets to Scouts. ❖ Track individual and team performance against assigned targets. ❖ Take corrective action when performance is below target. ❖ Develop practical strategies to improve driver recruitment and registration numbers. ❖ Motivate the team to achieve and exceed assigned targets. Reporting ❖ Collect and consolidate daily reports from all Scouts. ❖ Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly team performance reports to the Operations Manager / Fleet Officer. Report key performance indicators, including: ➢ Drivers contacted ➢ Drivers registered ➢ Drivers verified ➢ Drivers activated ➢ Pending registrations ➢ Rejected/incomplete registrations ➢ Target achievement Escalate operational challenges, technical issues, and significant field problems promptly. Field Operations ✓ Conduct regular field visits to monitor Scouts and driver registration activities. ✓ Ensure Scouts are working in assigned locations and following the agreed field plan. ✓ Identify new opportunities and locations for driver recruitment. ✓ Maintain good relationships with drivers and other relevant stakeholders. ✓ Support the team during high-priority recruitment campaigns or special activities. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements ✓ Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred. ✓ Previous experience in team supervision, sales, field operations, customer service, driver recruitment, or a similar role. ✓ Experience managing a target-based field team is an advantage. ✓ Good knowledge of Dire Dawa and surrounding areas. ✓ Strong communication and interpersonal skills. ✓ Good leadership and team-management skills. ✓ Ability to use smartphones, mobile applications, and basic computer systems. ✓ Strong reporting and organizational skills. ✓ Ability to analyze team performance and take corrective action. ✓ Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. ✓ Fluency in Amharic and knowledge of local languages spoken in Dire Dawa is an advantage.
