The Fleet Operations Officer is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the day-to-day operations of the assigned driver fleet. The position ensures that drivers are active and operating effectively on the The company platform, vehicle and driver requirements are maintained, operational issues are resolved promptly, and accurate fleet performance reports are provided to management. Key Responsibilities • Fleet Operations Management Ø Monitor the day-to-day operational performance of the assigned driver fleet. Ø Control All Call Center Operation both Outward and Income Call Ø Ensure registered and approved drivers are actively operating on the The company platform. Ø Monitor driver availability, activity, and operational performance. Ø Coordinate with drivers to address operational challenges and improve productivity. Ø Maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet and driver records. Ø Identify operational gaps and recommend appropriate solutions. • Driver Support & Coordination Ø Serve as a key point of contact for drivers regarding operational issues. Ø Assist drivers with platform-related and operational questions. Ø Follow up with inactive, low-performing, or newly activated drivers. Ø Identify reasons for driver inactivity and support appropriate corrective actions. Ø Communicate company policies, operational procedures, and updates to drivers. Ø Maintain professional relationships with drivers and promote good customer service. • Fleet Performance Monitoring Ø Monitor key fleet performance indicators on a daily and weekly basis. Ø Track driver activity, trip performance, utilization, and other assigned operational indicators. Ø Identify underperforming drivers and develop follow-up actions. Ø Support initiatives aimed at improving driver activity, retention, and productivity. Ø Compare actual performance against assigned fleet targets. • Issue Resolution Ø Receive and coordinate the resolution of driver operational complaints and issues. Ø Investigate recurring operational problems and identify possible causes. Ø Escalate technical, system, safety, or other critical issues to the appropriate department. Ø Follow up on escalated cases until they are resolved. Ø Maintain a record of major operational incidents and resolutions. • Reporting Ø Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly fleet performance reports. Report key indicators including: • Number of active drivers • Number of inactive drivers • Driver activity and utilization • Fleet performance • Driver retention • Vehicle compliance • Pending operational issues • Driver complaints • Resolved and unresolved cases Ø Provide management with operational insights and recommendations. Ø Ensure all reports are submitted accurately and on time. • Coordination With Other Teams Ø Work closely with the Scout Leader and Scout team to support newly registered and activated drivers. Ø Coordinate with management and relevant departments on driver and fleet operational matters. Ø Support driver recruitment and activation activities when required. Ø Coordinate with technical/support teams when drivers experience platform-related problems. Ø Share relevant operational information with the appropriate teams. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements Ø Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Logistics, Transport Management, or a related field is preferred. Ø Previous experience in fleet management, transport operations, logistics, ride-hailing operations, sales operations, or a similar position is preferred. Ø Experience working with drivers or managing a field-based operation is an advantage. Ø Good knowledge of Dire Dawa and surrounding areas. Ø Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ø Good organizational and problem-solving skills. Ø Ability to use smartphones, mobile applications, spreadsheets, and basic computer systems. Ø Good reporting and data-analysis skills. Ø Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple operational issues. Ø Willingness to work in the field and communicate regularly with drivers.
