Key Responsibilities • Source and purchase high-quality coffee from farmers, cooperatives, suppliers, and local markets. • Evaluate coffee quality, grades, and prices before purchasing. • Negotiate purchase prices and contract terms with suppliers. • Build and maintain strong relationships with coffee suppliers and stakeholders. • Monitor coffee market trends, availability, and price fluctuations. • Coordinate with the quality control, warehouse, logistics, and export departments to ensure timely delivery. • Verify that purchased coffee meets company and export quality standards. • Prepare purchase reports and maintain accurate procurement records. • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant government regulations. • Assist in planning and forecasting coffee procurement requirements. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in coffee purchasing, coffee trading, or coffee procurement. • Good knowledge of Ethiopian coffee varieties, grading systems, coffee quality standards, and coffee-producing regions. • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills. • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. • Willingness to travel frequently to coffee-producing areas. • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attent • Preferred Qualifications • Experience working in a coffee export company. • Familiarity with Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority regulations and coffee trading procedures. • Good command of both Amharic and English.
